Alpacas Posted January 12, 2007 Share Posted January 12, 2007 Most of the experienced users probably already know that some of the etrex series models have a diagnostic mode. On the Venture CX, Legend CX, and Vista CX you can do this to get a close approximation of the temp. Press the enter button (the joystick) while powering the unit on. You will enter a screen which will show the internal diode temp. After having the unit outside for awhile it will resemble the actual temp. Quote Link to comment
