Help please!

I just receceived City Navigator North America v8 NT today and loaded the entire thing onto my 1gb micro SD. After the map transfer (1 hour, 15 minutes), I checked my home address and the street was there as were all of the other streets in my neighborhood. Then I tried to create a waypoint at a destination in Louisiana and now I see a "no map" message on the bottom of the screen. I see tons of streets, but there are no street names or details.

 

Can someone help me out here?

Have you unlocked it and is the card "clicked" into it's slot?

Yes. I've done all of that. I now have maps, but I notice that when the zoom is at 5 meters the map election is "basemap", and when I zoom in 1 more level to 3 meters, the map selection changes to "mapsource".

 

I also no longer have the selection to Hide Basemap or Hide/Show any of the maps. Do you know why? The documentation is next to worthless.
