+Sensei TSKC Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Can any person give me the idiots guide on how to change the sodding avatar! I have changed it in my profile on GC.COM Logged out of there, logged out of the forums. Logged back in on both and it still won't change. Oss! Quote
+Windsocker Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Silly Q but did you put your password in to make the changes? Quote
Not So Lost Puppies Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 try this: log out of the forums, not just gc.com, then go to the main page, and go into the forums through the link on the left. Also... make sure that your membership is current, if your membership slipped (or if it is messed up, as has happened to some others) then it wont allow you to make changes. Quote
+BlueDeuce Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 (edited) Changing your avatar? hmmmm. Here's the short version Access the change avatar screen (yeah yeah) Select the photo/avatar. Then in the upper right hand corner where you see the photo, click the 'Select avatar' button then click the 're-register the changes' or the 'forums' link (on the left). access the forums. If you still have problems PM me and I can give you the detailed step by step. Edited January 6, 2007 by BlueDeuce Quote

SP changes his enough and his Membership is free. I will try the first thing in your post though. Oss! Quote

+Simply Paul Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 ...SP changes his enough and his Membership is free.My membership was paid for in sweat. Glad you got there in the end. As it's 12th night, I will be changing my avatar too, and urge others to do likewise, or else Jesus will duff you up Quote
+Us 4 and Jess Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 I've just had such a carry on to change from my crimbo avatar but managed it in the end I kept changing the one in our profile instead of the one for the forums doh And our membership I have just found out has ran out (shame, shame, shame on you Mandy I hear you cry!!) bloody stupid day to join 29th December you can tell who got a palm from Santa last year can't you Apparently the payment and the forum take a few days to catch up with each other after making the payment, so we will be caching with papers tomorrow for our sins of letting it lapse Mandy Quote
+Bill D (wwh) Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 As it's Twelfth Night I've just changed my avatar back to normal. I just edited my profile on gc.com, changed the avatar, then clicked on the link to register the changes. That took me to the forum main page (still logged in) and my avatar was back to normal. Worked for me...! Quote
