+kdgreene
Hello, I use a mini USB cable for powering my 60csx in the car. Does anybody know if the 60csx will act as a chager for rechargable batteries? It would be nice to switch to rechargeables if this is the case. Thanks, Kelly Quote Link to comment
yeeoldcacher
The unit does not charge batteries while running off of external power, it just switches the power source. The batteries need to be charged in a regular battery charger. Quote Link to comment

+NightPilot
I bought a charger that uses 12VDC. It came with an AC adapter, so I can use it in the house or car. You might want to buy the newer 15 minute charge batteries and charger, to save on charge time. Also the new hybrid batteries hold a charge much longer, for about the same price. The only things I use alkaline batteries for are those that consume very little power, but need to work all the time, like remote controls and clocks. Everything else uses rechargeables.
