Geocoins with flowers

Hi there,

 

About five month ago I got enthusiastic about collecting geocoins. Since that time I have been buying (and trading) several geocoins.

However, I decided to collect from now on only geocoins with flowers.

 

From my previous stamp collecting period I know that every American state has it’s own state flower.

Therefore I would like to know which State geocoins have flowers on it.

If you know other geocoins that have flowers, please mention these as well.

The Wales coin has a daffodil on it.

The GGA 2006 coin has a cherokee rose on the backside.

The Signal May coin has flowers on the one side.

The Dutch micro is a tulip.

 

I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Crake did a beautiful one with Bluebonnets. It is one of my favorite coins!

The CA Experience or CA 2006 has some kind of yellow flowers on it. When you mention flowers though, I think of the Alberta Wild Rose. I think it is a really pretty flower.

Don't forget the alberta geocoin released this year. It's pink. And the one that looks like a flowerpot with tulips planted in it, I don;t remember the name of it. You could check out ebay and just sift through the coins and see if you spot one with a flower/s on it. I hope this helps

Yes, Bluebonnet has a coin, and I've got something in the works for the spring Texas wildflowers as well. Well, I will once my muse returns.

Lancashire 2006

 

 

Yorkshire is similar. Both use the rose (red or white) as icon.

 

Tabata 2 and Bavaria have an edelweiss flower on them and I think the Bavaria geocoin uses the flower as its icon.

@all, thanks for all of your postings.

 

Now I know what I have to do with my Christmas bonus.

Several coins listed in the postings are already in my keepings list.

But there are more than a few geocoins that I didn’t knew off.

I will contact some geocachers in person to obtain more detailed information about the coins they have mentioned.

And, I hope there will be more postings in the next days.

Regular but even more for the Hawai`i Micro Residents Version.

Run For the Roses - One side entirely Roses!

There is one that is coming out from Castle Man for Cystic Fibrosis. This will be a "charity coin", where the proceeds will go to the CF Foundation. It will have a lot of roses on one side of the coin. Children who have this horrid illness tend to call it "65 roses", as it is a little difficult for them to pronounce it correctly, and the CFF has taken this as their slogan. As for the Hawai'i micro, we might have an extra of the regular edition to trade or sell. I'll look and drop you a note if we do. Sorry, we don't have any of the residents' version

 

And speaking of Crake, one of his newest editions is the Three Roses series, although they are highly stylized: compass roses more than real ones.
