+dentful1
Having problems installing my new hardware to the Windows XP. Magellan software does not recognize the XP. It says to stop immediatley to avoid any damage to programs. It also say to contact the manufacturer of the software for help. But it is Christmas time and they are closed when I am open if you know what I mean. HELP ME SOMEBODY PLEASE!!!! Is it safe to continue to download the software to the XP edition without doing damage? Quote Link to comment

Dragonmaster13
XP shouldn't be a problem. It just does that to stuff that is made for windows 98 and older. Quote Link to comment
+geognerd
What software are you trying to install? Or are you just trying to connect the GPSr to the PC? Quote Link to comment
+dentful1
OK. First of all we got the the program installed. Then the computer did not recognize the USB that was connected to it. Come to find out that you have to have the connector on the GPS pointing down like it has a tail not up like an antenna. They failed to mention that in the instruction manual. Quote Link to comment
