+mishyfoot
I use my gps (Magellan Sportrak Map) by inputting coords by hand. Thoughts on what i can do to improve this? People talk about downloading waypoints and maps and routes... do you need software or something? Quote Link to comment
+Groovy Cachin' Dude!
Since you are a Premium Member, create some pocket queries and have them e-mailed to you in a zipped *.gpx format. Then import the zipped gpx file into GSAK GSAK is (IMHO) the best software/database for geocaching. After you've sorted the waypoints in the gsak database, it will upload them directly to your GPSr. Quote Link to comment
Sarjor
I have a Sportrak Pro, which is basically the same. I use Ozi explorer for most of my things but GSAK works great for downloading the .LOC files on the geocaching search result sites. I download them by the page and then create a waypoint file for Ozi using GSAK. Fast and easy. I much prefer to use Ozi though for all of my route creation, track viewing etc. on Topo Maps. If you're ambitious you can even create .xls files for waypoints and import using Ozi. Lots of options. Edited December 23, 2006 by Sarjor Quote Link to comment
+kkids
If you want detailed street maps, you have to buy Magellan MapSend. You select the area where you want to cache and send the maps from the software to the GPS with this software. I see it is available on Amazon for about $70. Quote Link to comment
