Where to get ammo boxes?

Just curious as to whether the best option would be to go down to the local military surplus store or if there might be somewhere on the web. Any comments or suggestions would be helpful. Anybody else use alot of other things to hold your caches?

I'd check with your local surplus store, sometimes they have great deals. Also you may want to to try http://www.geogearstore.com/ I have gotten a few from them, they ship really fast and have fairly decent prices.

For ammo cans I find it best to go to the local surplus store.

Some good prices online, but the shipping costs usually make it the more expensive option.

Lock-N-Locks also make decent cache containers and can be found in many supermarkets or department stores. They can be found in a size to fit almost any hidding spot.

Here is the web addy of the place i get mine!!! Luckly he is a surpee (surplus rat) like me!!! They can get you anything from patches n pins to snowcats,halftracks n five and ten ton trucks!!! If you call ask to talk to jim or jake and tell em the boys from Palmers sent you!!!

At the Army surplus store in Savannah, I can get the ammo cans for $4 or $7.50 for the larger ones. For the small quantity I need, it's much cheaper to just pick them up as I need them rather than pay shipping.

Military surplus or specialty outdoor/camping stores. Up in Topeka there's a place called Einstein's that sells sporting goods for the outdoorsman (fishing/hunting/skiing/camping as opposed to football/baseball/basketball). Probably a fairly similar place somewhere in Wichita.
