Whoa, looks like their domain registration expired. I think they're on vacation but I hope someone can contact them.

I did a quick whois search for the domain name and it looks like the company Bulkregister, llc.'s that they use for their hosting is having issues with there server it is reported as being down.

domain names cant be re-registered that quickly, by law there is a grace period of about 45 days before its released back on market.

They may have to pay a latefee but the domain still belongs to them if the company is willing to re-register it for them since its late.

I hope them the best.

Oh man! That SUX if they did accidentally lose their claim to the URL.

I bought gridloxgrafix.com once and "thought" I had it on automatic renew. (Didn't!! )

I changed directions on the market I was wanting to use the site for and just created a portfolio of some of my artwork. I rarely updated it, so I let it go unchecked for a long time.

I had a link to it in my sig line on another forum (non-geocaching related) and one day I get an email from someone asking why I was trying to sell my website.

When I clicked on it, some creep-oid company had scarfed it up and took it from me when I didn't renew.

Unfortunately, I had mistakenly registered it using my junk email address that I use when I have to list an address on a site that requires an address for some reason to register for a product sample or free download of something or the other. I only open it once a week to dump EVERYTHING into the trash and delete it. Some weeks it's upwards of 1000 emails!! MOSTLY SPAM!! I don't even bother scanning through it to see what's really there.

I can only figure I had gotten my renew notice to that address and since I don't check it well, I trashed it.

They've had it for 3 years now and renew it every year when the time comes.

I'm sorry!! I'm not paying them money for MY site!!

One day they will figure no one else wants it and it will be available again.

The problem is getting worked. This is the second time our hosting company has done this to us. We can't wait to get the new website up and running in late January.

The activation codes should be on coincodes.com, that is generally where they host them, not on their site. Try there, though it can take awhile for them to be loaded onto the site, so be patient (I know, it's hard when you want your little icon!)

Perhaps the page is cached? It is still down when I look at it, and I rebooted this morning.

It appears their e-mail is bouncing back also since the site is down. A message I sent last night bounced back to me.

I'll contact them tomorrow to see if I can help set them up with a temporary e-mail at usageocoins.com.

I purchased coins on 12-10-06. They were charged on my account. Now the charge has been reversed and no coins delivered.

Ah now it appears to be down must have been as Hula Bum said "cached". I restarted my computer because of an update and then went to it and it was screwed up. I hope that The real coinsandpins can get their url back as it would be a shame if they had to change all that stuff (Lots'o work) Good Luck!

I am confused about why they could not ship out the orders already made though. My Christmas present was one of the refunded ones, and I WANT it!! WHAA WHAA WHAAA!

Seriously, I have heard of several folks having to scramble for another XMAS gift.

I have read the forum, but what do we do with coins we have from coins and pins and no activation codes? I looked on the site listed above and the coin is not on that site.

Anyone have an update.

Hopefully USA geocoins can come in and enlighten us as they generally do that part (though it can take them a week or so to get them uploaded).

Ok, from reading the posts it seems that the refunds were done before the website went down, so that would be a completely different thing. Has anyone called and asked why?
