I found this Prime Meridian coin which had just arrived in our local Stargate which wanted to visit a country on the PM, thought I could do one better and take it to the line (give or take a few feet!).

Boomerang wanted to visit Australia. He got there and traveled to a few caches, but then someone took him on vacation with them. (For several months) Kinda cool that he visited so many places, but then they dropped him in England. We never got to see a picture of him in Australia! Hopefully he makes it back there. Here he is in Greece.

I love taking and posting pics of TBs, especially if they are related to the TB's goals.

I had fun with this TB in Europe: Rusty is out to find Ace

Likewise, I helped this Playboy Casino Chip TB reach one of its goals in Las Vegas at the Playboy Club at The Palms.

I wish more people cached with a camera in their pack. It is fun!

Cheers

Wow this is inspiring and I wish I could participate but although it's included in my mission statement nobody has taken the time out to post a picture.

If it's part of the mission I do my best to follow through.

Here's one I talked a buddy into dressing up for the picture...

And here's one I fixed up (all it had was the dog tag and a name tag when I retrieved it)

We recently picked up a Sea Shell Geocoin. It was released near Tampa, FL. We picked it up in S. Florida and thought it deserved a day at the beach. Its mission was to travel to the California coast and then back to Florida again. Can you spot the bronze sea shell?

Bette Davis Eyes in Rhode Island

You picked the perfect name for that TB! <_<

Yeah. :) She was my favorite. Started her off in my first cache: Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotteburg, overlooking the Charlotteburg Reservoir. And lost my innocence. She traveled 863 miles, and did make it to her first stop: Lowell, Mass. Her twin, Mommy Dearest, started at Whatever Happened to Baby Jane

03c06ce5-84d2-4c38-add7-db1676925868.jpg

She travelled 3087 miles, and did make it to San Antonio, Texas, before she disapppeard in Minnesota.

Oh, well.

Great thread. Love these pics.

We are relatively new to caching but last week I posted pictures of a coin and TB for the first time, hoping the owners would appreciate it.

This thread has inspired me to do more of it.

We are getting ready to release about a half dozen trackables soon. I sure hope I get to see where they end up along the way. Much more fun that way.

I started two Travel Bugs, Politically Blue TBPZ9B and Politically Red TBQ6XQ back in 2006 as the Presidential candidates were gearing up. Politically Blue to this date has traveled 20,114 miles compared to Politically Red's 5,596 miles. Politically Red has been up in Canada close to Alaska for some time now (ironic :( )

If the number of miles traveled is any indication of how the Presidential Election votes will end up? This geocacher is hopeful. :ninja:

This was our (TX Irish Rover and HaveCameraWillCache) first TB to find. They asked for photos to be taken, but I haven't figure out how to get it on their gallery. So until then hopefully I can get them here.

Well that didn't work, was reading the 'Learn how...' and I thought I would get an upload option after hitting enter... also even though I'm logged in as HaveCameraWillCache this part thinks IrishRover is logged in ;) So I may not get photos loaded.

Feel free to delete this entry.

The forum log in and gc.com sign in are separate so you'd need to log out of the forum and re-log in as Havecam.

Make sure you have the photo loaded on your PC. Access the bug page and next to your log select [visit log]. In there is the option to upload your photo.

To place a photo here in the forums you would first have to have the photo somewhere on the internet, like a bug log. Once that is done....(stand by)

From the FAQ

Adding a Picture to a Forum Post

1. Your picture must be on the internet somewhere -- not on the hard drive. If you want to share a personal photo, but don't have web space, upload it to a cache log, cache page or your profile page.

2. Copy the URL for the image so that it's in your clipboard.

3. Compose your forum post. When you want to insert the image, click on the "Insert Image" button in the top "Code Buttons" section. It's the icon that looks like a photo of a tree.

4. A dialog box will pop up, prompting you for the URL of the image. Paste the URL from your clipboard into the box (Ctrl-V = paste) and click "OK."

5. Preview your post to make sure it works!

If you are having trouble, try practicing in the test thread that is pinned at the top of the "Getting Started" forum.

My middle child has a Travel Bug called Squirtle and he is in Germany and the geocachers in that country have just taken really good care of him. How good you ask?

Squirtle was actually taken from Germany to Australia by a person who does not geocache and Squirtle was photographed at the Sydney Opera House.

Thanks to all the geocachers who have helped Squirtle.

Here are the pics taken by a friend of nullenschubser, I especially liked the second shot.

My one and only (so far) TB hasn't been picked up from its first cache yet, so no photos of it, but here are a couple I have taken of other's TB's

Kris at the "Tyred of Angling" cache

Most are a little less artistic though:

A couple of TB's at "The Giant Chook" at RDMC #7

Kris again. This time at "Surfcoast - Winkipop II"

Hopefully the owners appreciate even these pics. I know I'l appreciate it when I finally get a photo or two of my TB on the road.

I was very pleased to see that my "Snappy the turtle" TB has finally got to be photographed with some American turtles. I sent him off to Florida to meet the turtles and although he made it to there nobody added any real turtle pics...

But he then wandered off to Oregon and teamLOAR finally added two turtle photographs: It just goes to show that sometimes a TB will complete its mission but maybe not in the way you expected... MrsB
