Dragonmaster13
Heard from GPScentral that the Mapsource program will only upload 940mb of total maps to an SD card. Anybody have success uploading more than 940mb of maps out of Mapsource at one time? Quote Link to comment
-Oz-
You have to remember that a 1gb card does not have 1000mb of room. This is due to the difference between 1024bytes and the 1000bytes marketing loves to use. 940mb sounds legit for a 1gb card. After going from bytes to bk to mb to gb the 1024 versus 1000 starts to add up. Edited December 15, 2006 by -Oz- Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Up to 4 GB if your unit can take it. http://www.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209 Changes made from version 6.11.5 to 6.11.6: * This version of MapSource no longer supports Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows NT. * Fixed an issue with transferring map sets larger than 2 GB to units. MapSource supports transferring map sets up to 4 GB in size. Note that some units do not support map sets over 2 GB in size. * Fixed an issue with creating a waypoint from Japanese address search result. * Fixed an issue with MapSource not finding Google Earth Pro when installed.
