+Blake&Nettie
I know that this sounds stupid, but my wife wants to put our stat bar on her MY SPACE page. I went to the stat bar generator and copied the code. When I load it in MS it just shows two dashes. like this .. Anyone else have this problem? Here is the code generated: <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=2d0f6ec0-05cb-4719-9321-c2f8e6bafce9" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?txt=Let's+go+geocaching&uid=2d0f6ec0-05cb-4719-9321-c2f8e6bafce9&bg=1" border="0" title="Profile for Blake&Nettie" alt="Profile for Blake&Nettie"></a> It seems that everything after the _blank"> disapeers when I save it. If I delete all that after _blank". and type in some text, that turns into the link. like this: <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=2d0f6ec0-05cb-4719-9321-c2f8e6bafce9" target="_blank">WWW.GEOCACHING.COM</a> as seen above, the www.geocaching.com shows up on the MS page. She really wants the stat bar. Anyone have any thoughts? Link to comment
+SG-MIN
Try this. +Groovy Cachin' Dude!
Try this Click on the link, copy the URL from your browser into your html editor...or use the following html code: <img src="http://img.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?txt=Let's+go+geocaching&uid=2d0f6ec0-05cb-4719-9321-c2f8e6bafce9&bg=1"> Good luck Edited December 8, 2006 by Dude/Sweet Link to comment
+altosaxplayer
Yes. Just using the <img src=> code with the URL of the image will be all you need. Link to comment
+mudsneaker
i just tryed that one as well, didnt work for me. Still ending up with the dots. Its wierd, Myspace is converting it once you hit save. Link to comment
+StarBrand
It is something called a dynamic image (built on the fly with your current info) - many web sites (including this forum software) do not allow dynamic images to be displayed. Link to comment
+Allen_L
I don't know about my space, but the forums here do allow some dynamic images. Like for example this one. Link to comment
Jeremy
I don't know about my space, but the forums here do allow some dynamic images. Like for example this one. It's because the Url looks like a PNG file. I'm sure myspace is starting to crack down on the ways people can display content on their page, like disabling javascript and dynamic images. +Allen_L
It's because the Url looks like a PNG file. Of course it does, I set it up that way on purpose. Link to comment
+Groovy Cachin' Dude!
So...if MySpace won't allow dynamic images, it seems that you could periodically save an "image capture" of your stats and just upload that image. A pain for sure...maybe you could write a batch file that does all of that and uploads "an appropriate" file to MySpace? Thanks for commenting Jeremy! Link to comment
