Stat Bar

I know that this sounds stupid, but my wife wants to put our stat bar on her MY SPACE page. I went to the stat bar generator and copied the code. When I load it in MS it just shows two dashes. like this ..

Anyone else have this problem?

Here is the code generated:

It seems that everything after the _blank"> disapeers when I save it. If I delete all that after _blank". and type in some text, that turns into the link. like this:

as seen above, the www.geocaching.com shows up on the MS page. She really wants the stat bar. Anyone have any thoughts?

I had the same issue as well.

 

Just tryed this one and it didnt work either. Same .. as before. Hope someone knows how to make it work, Ive wanted it on myspace for awhile now.

Yes. Just using the <img src=> code with the URL of the image will be all you need.

i just tryed that one as well, didnt work for me. Still ending up with the dots. Its wierd, Myspace is converting it once you hit save.

It is something called a dynamic image (built on the fly with your current info) - many web sites (including this forum software) do not allow dynamic images to be displayed.

I don't know about my space, but the forums here do allow some dynamic images. Like for example this one.

It's because the Url looks like a PNG file.

 

I'm sure myspace is starting to crack down on the ways people can display content on their page, like disabling javascript and dynamic images.

So...if MySpace won't allow dynamic images, it seems that you could periodically save an "image capture" of your stats and just upload that image. A pain for sure...maybe you could write a batch file that does all of that and uploads "an appropriate" file to MySpace?
