+Big B Bob
Maybe I’m mistaken, but I seem to be missing a log somewhere. If a cache owner decides to delete your log, do you get a notice that you were "DELETED"? Is the log still there in your history, but is marked "Log Deleted"? Help, Bob Link to comment
+2Wheel'in
I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure you get a notification when one of your logs is deleted. Whether or not it is "archived" somewhere....I know not. Bill Link to comment
+DavidMac
I don't think logs stay in the history on your My Account page, but if you know the URL to a deleted ("archived") log (say from a watchlist email), and you have permission to view the log, you can still read it. You can view any archived logs you posted, as well as any archived logs on a cache you own, but you can't view other people's archived logs. Link to comment
+Hiking Cockroachess
I've had logs deleted (Will Attend logs) for well-attended events. In both cases, I got a GC notification that the log had been deleted. Link to comment
+Team Henzlik
Our team traditionally posts images with most cache finds. Once we inadvertently posted a blatant spoiler on a virtual. It was about two months later that I received an email suggesting that the cache hider had deleted my log. It included links so I could see what in the world happened. I was so embarrassed when I realized what I had done. Link to comment
AZcachemeister
Yes, you will get a notification that your log was deleted. Even if it was only a note and no smiley is involved. Link to comment
+altosaxplayer
Any log that you post on someones cache can be deleted. This results in you getting notification even if it is a DNF, find, note, or needs maintenance (I'm pretty sure). I think maybe the reviewers can delete your log without a notification but I don't really know about that. Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
If a reviewer deletes a log on a published cache, a VERY rare thing, the log owner would receive the same notice that they would if a cache owner deleted it. The only time that there is no notice is when you yourself as the log owner are the one deleting the log. The system assumes you know what you are doing. At least in my case, that isn't always true! On a handful of occasions I have accidentally deleted a log when intending simply to edit it. Edited December 11, 2006 by The Leprechauns Link to comment
