The date has been set for a get together in Cardiff on Sunday, 28 January. Full details can be found here! The time and day has been set to allow time for some caching before the event. There will be T/B swops and ideas – volunteers sought and a discussion will take place re the Mayday bank holiday event at Dare Valley Country park.

Can't make that one, unfortunately but I will be in South Wales over Easter for the Miskin Folk Festival and some of the more 'remote' caches out in the boonies. I intend coming to the 2nd South Wales bash later in the year, too.

Only two weeks to go to the Cardiff mid-winter social meeting and we have to date in excess of 32 cachers that have said they will attend. Many new cachers have started since the last event and although many will be emailed with a personal invite if we have missed you we would love you to come. We and other cachers always welcome new cachers to our meetings that enable us all to put faces to names. If you visit our link at the start of this topic you will be able to register your intention to attend so we can can keep the meeting place informed of numbers expected. The venue also cooks super meals so as it is on a Sunday is a good excuse to eat out. Since Write & Mane kicked off the South Wales events a year ago many cachers have become firm friends and we all look forward to these meetings when we can get to meet each other again – have fun – and socialise.. Once again the Welsh flag will be flying – courtesy of Write and Mane and we have been informed there will be a couple of things to amuse us all. There will also be travel bug and coin swaps so if anyone is traveling to distant shores soon here is your chance to help one of these items on the way. Caches are also being released for the event – so be sure to check the listings on the Sunday morning. We are looking very much forward to January 28th and to meeting new friends and old..
