Add the Vancouver (WA) Cache Machine for January 5, 2008. I originally scheduled it for December 29, but that conflicts with the annual WSGA holiday party.

 

Updated the calendar and added the Cache Machine. Thanks for the heads up.

 

Dec 29 is a WAGA event? Haven't heard about it and don't see it on the events calendar. Someone want to clue me in? Official event or just a get-together?

The WSGA Summer Campout 2008 is scheduled for the first weekend in August; the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We have reserved both group sites and the dozen or so RV sites between them at Riverside State Park, just north of Spokane.

 

We'll get more information out as it becomes available...stay tuned! ;)

 

Got it on the Yahoo calendar. Keep me posted on details!

I was looking at the calander and noticed that "The Pokey Plodders Attack Lord Hill - WA" lists it as being near Shoreline, unless there is a different Shoreline or a different Lord Hill than the ones I'm thinking of, Lord Hill is in/near Monroe not Shoreline.

 

Thanks for keeping an eyeball on that for me. I'll go fix it right now.

Wouldn't you rather go to the Spring Fling? It's a Whole lot of fun!. Maybe you could have your WWFMIII on Sunday :lol:

We're going to the Spring Fling for sure, but if we do a WWFM, the date/time is pretty static as that's when they will be happening all around the world.

 

But yes, Spring Fling... registered right after the site went live and really excited for that! Maybe someone in Port Orchard will host one and we abandon doing one in the Seattle area ;-)

We're going to the Spring Fling for sure, but if we do a WWFM, the date/time is pretty static as that's when they will be happening all around the world.

Fluety had better be here for Spring Fling!! I've made her the most snazzy tiara/nurse cap ever! She's taking care of our first aid situation this year.

 

I don't think the Flash Mob events will be that big of a problem with Spring Fling. If the timing is right there would be no problem hitting the WWFM event and coming out to Spring Fling. Those who have come out and enjoyed Spring Fling know it's something of a juggernaut of a to-do.

Hi all,

 

I'm from Saskatchewan and will be on holiday in the Northwest at the beginning of May. I am wondering if anyone is planning any events near the beginning of May that we could attend. We are trying to hit a few states so we are only going into Washington as far as Spokane & Walla Walla or Richmond. I see you have events farther west but I'm hoping that maybe someone will plan something on the Eastern part of the State. We are also going to be in Idaho & just the northwest part of Oregon. I'd love to participate in a Flash Mob while out that way since the WWFMIII is happening on May 10th. I'd plan one out there myself but since I know nothing of the area it makes it a little complicated. Our holiday is from May2nd until May 15th & we are hoping to go from Saskatchewan to Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon & then back through Idaho & Montana. The caching will be fun but it would also be neat to meet some American cachers.

Howdy! Has anybody answered you yet? I only caught that you posted here only because I noticed Shop99r posted.We do have some things happening near and at the beggining of the month, but this isn't the right thread to discuss it. You might be better off not hitting a limited view thread and place a new post in the Northwest thread. You'll get a much better response.

Thanks for putting our Cache-cadian's May Event on the calender. I spaced out and didn't announce it here!

 

I'm working on the Event page for our Georafting Event, which looks like it will be on June 22. We'll be having a nice picnic in the park, open to everyone most of the day, and a rafting trip for anyone who wants to come. I'll post it here when it's up. :D

The "south Sound Group" with have an organizational meeting on Sat June 28. Time and location TBD. Looking at late morning early afternoon and running for an hour or so. Focus of the meeting will be to Get a focus of the group, see if there is indeed an intrest. and who knows what else shall pop up. Most likely it will be in the Tacoma area, my idea, my backyard.

It's too early to get an event listing published for October, but it's never to early to start planning the annual 48 North Halloween get-together!

 

This year will feature a new location for the event, a family-friendly potluck and night caching party called "Lights Out In Lynden".

 

The date is Saturday, October 25, in Lynden of course! More details to follow!

Yamone, geobeadgirl, 3MudDogs and DoodleCat & MisterKrrk are hosting a geocaching BBQ/Potluck event called Fun, Games, and Lemonade! on Sunday August 17th.

 

The event will be held at North Clackamas Park in Milwaukie Oregon. The official events begin at 1:00 PM but we encourage folks to arrive earlier to meet and mingle with your fellow geocachers.

 

We are hiding raffle tickets (Golden Tickets) in various caches throughout the Portland metro area so keep a sharp eye out for them. If you find one, be sure to bring it to the event for a special drawing.

 

We’ll supply hot dogs and all the fixings. And of course, Lemonade.

 

There will be a couple of Geocaching 101 sessions for beginners with representatives from REI.

 

Bingo! Water Balloons! Field Games! Cache-O-Rama!

I am not sure this quite fits the topic because it isn't a geocaching.com event, but Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is doing a Geocaching contest. You have to attend a show at the zoo, and during the show they give you coordinates and clues for three spots in Tacoma. After you go to the waypoints, you can enter the contest. Something fun for the kiddos, and kiddos at heart! Here is the link: Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

Also, the 2009 WSGA summer campout date is August 14-16, at Twin Harbors State Park near Westport. Unfortunately, this is the same weekend as the Geo-Luau. It is extremely difficult to book a group camp site at a popular state park on prime weekend summer dates, and this was our only available option.
