GPS map 60CSx going thru x-ray

going to W. Carribean on 12-09 on a RC cruise from Tampa, have had probs w/ x-rays with other electronics in the past traveing abroad and wanted to know if anyone else has ever had a prob?? especially w/ my new gps? thanks

I always take mine in the carry on luggage and never had a problem. Hope this helps.

I just flew across the country with my 60CSx. I'd not advice you to put it in the checked bags because they get a much stronger xray scan.

 

If you put it in your carryon it's fine in those little xray machines. I did have a small problem with the backlight but i'm 99.9% sure that was unrelated to the xray.

Mine has gone through the Xray machine literally a thousand times without any problems. Dropping it down a hill side and it landing in the river did a whole lot more to shorten its life.

thanks, have really only had brobem with cameras in the past but would really hate to mess up the new gps and palm and then not be able to cache in Cozumel, Cayman brac, Belize, Hell and all the other places we are going to.

Mine goes through xray almost daily as I am in nd out of courthouse for work on a daily basis have not seen any adverse affects on any of m electronics.

You should be fine, I believe xrays can harm the film in the camera, not the actual camera. Therefore your GPS should be fine too.
