+Whostops
I was a tad bored at work, so I was surfing the web. I stumbled on Kimbo's Geocache Page. It contains some real basic tips. But thing that we all have forgotten from time to time. How many time have you gone out for a "Short Stroll", with no water ? Or the slight slope turned out to be a monster hill ? How many of us carry some form of "Anti Itch" cream ? Got anymore "Basic Tips" to add ? Quote Link to comment
+Matata
What we often kick ourselves for forgetting to take along is a simple plastic bag to collect the bits of rubish, you could go a bit further and add some rubber gloves specially in case of the Reservoir cache near Swellendam... Then of course there is the checking up on the latest logs, if you downloaded the cache a half an year or more ago... Spare batteries for your gps? Quote Link to comment
non-geocacher
agree with the garbage bag. I sometimes end up walking out with hands full of plastic junk, looking like a weirdo (I know, not hard). For me, cache descriptions. I don't own a printer, so I mostly cache without paper, thus no idea what I am doing under ground zero! If I plan ahead, I will put the description on my iPod, but than that requires planning ahead, which doesn't always happen. Quote Link to comment
+vespax
Opps!!!! That is not the non-geocacher working hard on finding those many cape town caches. I accidently posted while logged in under her name. Get mixed up with all these usernames/passwords. Quote Link to comment
+batsgonemad and his squirrel
Those little face cloths the golfers use, or in my case those bar cloths with the different beverages printed on them, which i kind of removed from a pub called the Red Lion, Godalming, UK. They are very handy for those walks where you work up a little sweat Quote Link to comment
+BornAdventures
Remember to make a waypoint for your car when you've parked in the middle of nowhere and Ive always found a torch comes in handy for finding those darn micro's Quote Link to comment
