Tight Batteries

Recommended Posts

I picked up Garman 60CSx today.

I had one heck of a time putting the batteries in.

The battery (as you look at the unit) on the left slid right in.

The battery on the left fits sooo tight, and it sticks up a hair or two higher then that battery on the left. I had to press down hard on the cover to get it closed.

Looking at the U's were the battires lay, the U on the right has a thin hard rubber shim along the right side of the U.

My bro-in-law has a 60CSx and both the right and left U's are smooth...no shim.

Any idea why the shim is there and is it needed.?

Thanks...

Nick

Mine doesn't have any "shim".

Did the cover rubber seal slip down on that side?

Can you post a picture?

Maybe talk with Garmin tech support?
