+Pharisee
Last Sunday I visited a cache in Northumberland and took a small, yellow T/B called "Ducktail". However, when I came to log it out of the cache I found that it was actually logged into a cache in the Wirral. It had been placed there at the end of December last year. Now... that cache had been archived in March after being muggled and the T/Bs that it contained reported as lost. The cache I found it in had only been placed a week before I found it and I was the fourth finder, the previous three all being experienced cachers. None of their logs say anything about a "Ducktail".... So... Who put him there and where had he been for the previous eight months? Any one know? Quote Link to comment

+KiwiGary
Hmmm sounds like the TB Kidnapper strikes again, he has also been working in New Zealand. Our Letter "P" tb went missing a year an a half ago from a cache, we thought he was a goner so we released the copy tag his brother the Letter "S". But a couple of weeks ago the Letter "P" turned up in a new cache only a few weeks old? It looks like the TB Kidnapper had dropped off our TB? Very strange, but I am glad he is ok. I will put a new tag on him when I get home, the kind cacher posted him to Mum and Dads house . See ya...Gary Quote Link to comment

Well, that clears up all the TBs that were in that cache when it went missing. Two of them were mine, they also mysteriously turned up in other caches too. Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
Ducktail, the TB - in case it reminds anyone of seeing it, and a photo: Quote Link to comment
+Dorsetgal & GeoDog
I had a similar thing happen earlier this year, I launched a new TB in a cache in San Diego, California, not even the next finder of the cache saw the TB. It was duly marked as missing, and then several months later, it cropped up in a cache on the east coast of USA ... it's now happily on its way again! Quote Link to comment
+The Bongtwashes
Perhaps it's connected with the Closet Cachers thread. Quote Link to comment
+Walker Dan
As the placer of the relevant Northumberland cache I can confirm it wasn't there when I placed the cache , although did drop off another duck TB in the cache. Spooky or what. Perhaps they're breeding up there. It's certainly wet enough at the moment. Quote Link to comment
