Just FYI, Cheryl Malone is retiring (after 30 some years!) from NGS very soon. If you want to say goodbye, drop her a line soon.

As a fellow fed, let me use this public forum to thank Cheryl for her years decades of service.

Cheryl has been our contact to report jurisdictional anomalies, which is a fancy way of describing instances where the datahseet says the mark is in one county when it's actually in another.

So are we supposed to load up Cheryl's in-box with reports before she goes, or wait for the new kid? (And who would that be, Casey?)

As you may have read, the federal government workforce tends to skew old for various reasons, and a very significant percentage is eligible to retire now or will be in the next few years. Think what you will about the government, whether it's FAA air traffic controllers, or Social Security benefits specialists or FDIC bank examiners, there are lots of government employees with decades of experience who affect your life every day who will be retiring in the coming years, and taking a lot of hard-earned knowledge with them.

Hi, Casey:

Following up on ArtMan's question about reporting errors in the future....

Cheryl is listed as the contact in the F-A-Q for this forum. So, when a new contact person is in place, remember to modify the pinned post. Thanks.
