The map on GUK.COM shows locations of caches that I have supposedly visited even though I have not.

The interactive map is correct but the map on the stats page is not.

Has anyone else had the same problem I wonder?

I thought that it would correct itself when the map would be next updated but the error remains.

Have you found any YOSM caches Mark as we've found this causes blips on the map where we've never been due to the cache co-ordinates changing every so often to another trig point?

The Ye Olde Survey Monument - http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...32-853759c07cc3 - it's basically a set of 200+ trig points you can log as virtuals.

Thought you may have logged the one just near Blue Blood on Cannock Chase.

 

I'm not sure of the answer then as we've always put it down to the 3 YOSM's we've found but am now wondering if there is something else afoot which is causing it as it seems to be doing it for you too.

That particular map shows all caches you have made a log entry on, whether you have actually found it or not. It may be a note you have put on a cache page or a 'will attend' on an event or something similar.

Thanks for the reply but I know that, that is not the answer either as it is in an area of the country that I have not posted any logs/notes relating to any caches

Just out of interest, which area is it?

 

I'll bet on Lincolnshire, in which case it will be this log that's causing the problem.

Try it now... (The map was picking up DNF logs by mistake - I think it's now corrected).

I brought this subject up a year ago on the G:UK forum, but it appeared to get overlooked. I'm pleased that it is now sorted and both maps now present the same information.

That's looking better and has removed some odd ones for us. We still have a red dot showing in the Essex area approx just above Southend which is odd as we've never cached there, but apart from that it's looking good

I've just looked and you're right. I had in mind that the YOSM cache was currently somewhere else, for some reason.
