+Simply Paul
Not a part of the world I've ever visited before, but have you? If so, do you have any 'must see' cache suggestions for me to look for while I'm in the city next month? Thanks in advance Edited October 27, 2006 by Simply Paul Quote Link to comment

+Simply Paul
There's a Bucharest in Romania, and not everyone reads all that carefully. I don't expect there to be Hungarian Temptations, but here are some Austrian and German 'temptations' from earlier this month for those who like to follow my adventures... +tteggod trackers
Budapest or Boobiepest as my kids call it! Yes there are a few good ones there although not as many as you might expect for a large city. Many as you have probably seen are virtuals! i've done a few over the years. Off the top of my head the Synagogue one was well worth doing, the tree of rememberance donated by Tony Curtis whose mother or father was Hungarian is well worth seeing in the grounds. Meridian of Gellerthegy..worth it for the view!!Incase of rain was an unusual one,Zero km interesting spot,Gold medalists - ingenious hiding method. Do you know where you are staying? Which side of the river? I know Budapest pretty well. By the end of November it will be pretty cold! the ones i have mentioned are all doable by foot if you are staying central and have time to walk! I can give your more info and suggestions when i know where you are staying! hope this helps! Quote Link to comment

+Simply Paul
...I can give your more info and suggestions when i know where you are staying!hope this helps! It does, thanks! I'll be staying somewhere around the Grand Hotel Royal, wherever that is in town. Closest hotels are Novotel, Radisson SAS and Hotel Queen Mary, I believe. That's if I'm still going - I did just make the mistake of watching Hostel before my first trip to eastern europe... HH - Jacket was an eBay purchase as photographers have to 'dress up' for the Skin Two rubber ball I went to a couple of weekends ago for the magazine. Only paid £20ish for it, inc. P&P, which I thought was pretty good for a military jacket I can actually button up! Quote Link to comment

For your info so that you can blag your case if you ever wear it in the future, the ribbon with the rosette, is for the Gulf '91 war, the rosette signifies that the person went into Iraq, and wasn't just sitting on their rear end in Cypress. The second ribbon was issued in 2002 to signify that all military and I believe emergency services personnel had served the Queen for at least 5 years when she celebrated her jubilee.
