+Team Snorkasaurus Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Any geocachers logging our Little Spanish Bull cache (GCR94F) on the 30th or 31st of October will have the opportunity to witness the wandering spirits haunting the nearby farmhouse. Might even get some tasty treats too! The spooks are slowly beginning to materialize even now... Happy (almost) Halloween! Quote
+Team LaLonde Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Our Big Log cache will have surprises on Friday the 27th. Here's a spoiler. Quote
+alexrudd Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 I'm thinking of doing something special on my cache (GCVAGZ) that already has finders reaching into a dark hole for a scary surprise. The only two ideas I had were webbing inside the hole, and a flashing light, but I fear the flashing light might attract muggles. Would anyone bother going to a cache on Halloween anyway? Quote
+BBWolf+3Pigs Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Would anyone bother going to a cache on Halloween anyway? I listed my cemetery multi-cache (4 historic cemeteries in Rhode Island) on Halloween 2004, and a large group of cachers did the whole thing on Halloween night. Quote

It may be an excuse for those who otherwise feel "too old" to trick-or-treat to have a nice spooky adventure And though I'm not sure we're going to have time to combine it with trick-or-treating I imagine for those with kids it just enhances the "holiday spirit" and all..... I imagine more would do it during the years that Halloween comes on a weekend though (it next comes out on a Friday night in 2008 and not truly on a weekend until 2009 ) Quote

Cool, but that was listed on Halloween. Would anyone revisit a cache with a Halloween bonus? Quote
+team moxiepup Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 We did this one - Face Your Phobias a few days ago. It was published at 11 pm, and since it was close by, we had to try for FTF. Very nice Halloweenish experience, and definitely an interesting night cache! Quote

I'd get a motion activated light or take the innards outta one of those Halloween bowls which have the hand sticking out of them (also motion activated). It would surely scare the beans outta most folks! Have FUN! Quote
