After taking the kids there all day, you should eat dinner at the Karl Strauss brewery right there by the park Friday night! I don't really drink, but they have some great stuff on-tap there. There are several Indian gaming casinos in the area. The Pechanga casino is right there in Temecula...maybe 10 minutes on surface streets from both event locations. There are about 4 other casinos within a 45 min. to an hours driving distance as well. However, Pechaga is a first class place, and has a large gaming area, so there isn't much need to drive that far...unless you have a preference to chains. One of the casinos about an hour away is a Harrah's casino... Quote Link to comment

+The Moop Along
1) Anybody planning on crossing the border to pick up a cache in another country? Actually, the "cache across the border" doesn't even require you to show your passport. It's a multi, that finishes in Cali. And, the cache owner acknowledges that it can be done without crossing the line. But, your log will show a "Mexican" cache find Quote Link to comment

Central Park After Dark is a nighttime cache that requires a flashlight and is in Temecula. It's by Snake&Rooster. If you venture down to San Diego, there is The Forbidden Forest by the DAK Girls as well. If it's just using your flashlight that interests you...there are several storm drain caches that will take you below the streets of the city as well...weather permitting of course. +wavector
I am really looking forward to the GeocoinFest and the Geocoin Poker Challenge, it should be a lot of fun. I want to thank my wife and my kids for being patient with my obsession! I do have a First Edition GAS Geocoin and that will be one of the three coins I use for my buy-in, I will have to think about the other two. We are really counting the days, my kids are really looking forward to Disneyland. I was wondering if there are some bookmark lists for local caches, I checked the Temecula Valley site and the GeocoinFest website but I didn't see any? We intend to do the night caches and really appreciate the tip about the DAK Girls night cache in San Diego, I have read the logs on that cache and it really looks like a good one.
