snowflakeschance
Does anyone know of a GPS unit that is specifically designed to work with Google Earth. I need to gift one for a Google Earth enthusiast. Quote Link to comment
+Airmapper
I don't believe there is. Most GPS units are capable of saving their data as a file, and you can get a program like GPSBable to convert it to Google Earth KML file for viewing. Quote Link to comment

Google Earth can read GPX-files. I believe that all GPSr create data that can be converted to GPX-format using GpsBabel or GSAK. Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
The Plus and Pro versions of Google Earth supports most Garmin and Magellan (excluding Roadmate) receivers. http://earth.google.com/userguide/v4/ug_gps.html Magellan support in Earth4 is spotty in the current betas, but I'm hopeful that'll be worked out before it goes final. There are over a hundred supported receivers, so it's probably best to ask about a specific model. Quote Link to comment
