bm196 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 without going thru the whole find menu? I use on road to get to within 100 ft. of cache (sometimes) and would like to go directly to off road at that pint. Quote

That's what I typically do, but sometimes the "recalculate" field is greyed out and I can't select it, so I have to go back through the find menu again. I can't seem to figure out any rhyme or reason to this behavior though... Quote

If the cache is close to where you park it could be that your GPS thinks that you have arrived at your destination and turns off the navigation at that point causing you to have to go through the "Find" process again. +phask Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 You can do it as a route and sett a leg as off road. I just don't feel it's worth it though - for me it's just as easy to hit find again. If it's needed I switch to topo map - recalc, and go. Quote
+markp99 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 This is one feature I really miss from my old (crushed) eXplorist 500. I was able to switch to off-road with a simple click, typically while driving. This would be a great press&hold function on one of the 60CSx buttons. Quote
