Disable compass on 60CSx

Hi all, could you tell me how to disable the compass on 60CSx during my bike ride. Presently, I use a minimum settings, i.e 0 km/h and 180 sec. During my bike ride, I frequently stop more than 180sec, so the compass turn back on when I am still. Thanks.

He just told you. Once you manually turn it off, it won't come back on unless you turn it on.

in the compass settings where you specify the speed where the compass comes on set it to ZERO mpg/kmh. the time interval is irrelevant. that way the compass stays off unless you tell it to come on via the page button.

That's irrelevant. All the setting does it determine when to reset the compass back to its prior state, before the speed setting turned if off. If it was already off, it's not going to be turned on, since "off" was its prior state.
