+humbird7 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I think yours is different enough to go ahead with it I know that I like the words on your better. I will still be interested in buying if you go ahead with it. Quote
+AtlantaGal Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I need to think about it. I was thinking about doing the blank space for everyone to engrave their user name on the coin. So it would be a little different. I don't think I would do enough for an Icon though....It would be a small run of maybe 100-200 coins. I need a few days to think about it. What about designing it for 2007 and minting it after the 1st of the year? Just a thought. Quote

I'm just wondering how many would be interested in a geocoin that will need to be engraved. Some folks don't have the ability to engrave themselves so they would have to take it to an engraver to have them done. I think it's a good idea myself. That way it really makes the coin more personal to the buyer. What would an engraver charge for something like that would be another question? Quote
zigolphin Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 this is a great idea for a coin and you definately should go ahead with it. here in oz you get charged anywhere from 50c to $1 a letter at the few places ive looked. there may be cheaper place but i havent found them yet. having that blank spot for it to be personalized is way cool.
