FuR
I'm leaving for my first visit to NYC tomorrow and I'd like to try and pick up at least three caches. Memorable caches, or links to lists of well done caches I should try and grab? I'll be staying in zip code 10024 and will be relying on public transit. thanksssssss! ... Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Five Star New York has a good rep. There are a few caches in Central Park and there is LFs Lunch which is in an interesting spot near a piece of the Berlin Wall. Bryant Park is also a worthwhile place to visit. Quote Link to comment
avroair
In the Ramble isn't a bad Central Park Cache. If you have 3-4 hours in CP you can do 10-12 caches. Most around the city are micros, Five Star New York will take you more than a day. Try doing an area code search around 10024 Quote Link to comment
+Mile Runner
LFs Lunch which is in an interesting spot near a piece of the Berlin Wall. its accualy LF's snack--she was only a guinea pig.... Central Park is fun, but if you are up for some urban caching, LF's Snack is good, or Bryant park but also if you are willing to come to the upper east side there is "Liz's Joules". If my memory serves me right 10024 is lower west side? JakeBond has a cache over there in an urban style "follow me home 1." I would also suggest going downtown there are some great caches down there all of which will make the suburban cacher think. I hope you have a great stay in the city! also i whould say the five star might be a wee over adverterous for a one day stay Quote Link to comment

+Harry Dolphin
Five Star New York will take you more than a day. Might even take years to complete! Oh, it only took Andy Bear and me ten months! Haven't done the new ones on Roosevelt Island yet, but the one by the lighthouse looks good. LF's Snack, Peter Pan, Follow Me Home 1, and Bryant Park are my top three for a one-day trip. +gracepap
Five Star New York will take you more than a day. He He! I gotta laugh at that one! I would say South Central Park and LF's Snack. If in Brooklyn, you gotta do the new one in Prospect Park (Birds of Lullwater) Quote Link to comment

Good choices for quick ones. If you decide to move here for 10 months, try Five Star New York, it will probably take you more than just a weekend. Quote Link to comment
