Do you know if this software can be used with another different GPS unit now, or is it forever locked to the unit I just returned?? Quote Link to comment
+embra Posted October 2, 2006 Share Posted October 2, 2006 If v1.0, you need only type in the serial number of the new GPS when compiling a detail map file. If v1.5 (off the DVD) then you will have to go a beggin' to Magellan to see if they will give you a new unlock code to work with a new GPS after you explain the situation. There is not much in the way of precedent to know if they are being flexible or maintaining a hard line on this issue. Quote Link to comment
