+ClayC
I was using GSAK to send all my waypoints to my garmin with no issues. Then I installed a palm for paperless caching, and now for some reason whenever I go to send the waypoints to my Garmin GPSr, I get an error that says 'COM1 failed' etc. anyway, my computer only has one com port (COM1), and so I have to unhook the palm dock and hook up the GPSr cord. (Ive got LOTS of USB ports). anyway, anyone have any ideas? Ive tried reloading GSAK, but that didnt work. thanks, clay Quote Link to comment
+JPatton
The Palm Hotsync software has grabbed the com port and won't let any other program use it. You need to disable the Hotsync software. In the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, there should be an icon for the Hotsync software near the right side. Right-click on it and then click on exit. This will release the COM port and GSAK will be able to use it. You will need to re-start the Hotsync software to sync the Palm again. Quote Link to comment
