+Richter Family Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Hi all - I am leaving London shortly and need to put my caches up for adoption; what is the process or should I just leave them running with a big note saying owner now gone? Can you officially transfer ownership? Quote

Deceangi Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 To transfer the ownership of a cache to another cacher just visit Adopt a Listing you'll need the GC No of the cache and the user name of the person adopting it. In the first instance your best posting a list of caches up for adoption on here and in a note on the cache page. Please do not leave them in place if you are unable to adopt them out, and are unable to maintain them. As they will be Archived for non maintenance by the owner and just become geolitter. Quote

Another London cacher leaves the area I'm sure we'll take on some of them! I'll wait and see which ones - or is it all of them? Gone fishing has been on my list to do for ages, so assuming we can find it.... Cheers! dave Quote
+currykev Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Sad to see ya go...as I have enjoyed your caches..well the ones I found anyway. Put me down for the 3 BP ones. Quote

+purple_pineapple Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Well, assuming I can actually get of my derriere and go find it, then the purple-pineapples would love to adopt gone fishing. And we've done Down by the Sea, which I think is fairly near Saxby's, Carluccio's and Parasan so assuming we find them then we could adopt those as well, rather than see them archived! (Unless anyone else actually lives very close to Wandworth...) Quote
+rodz Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Sorry to see you go too, Jurgen. As we discussed I'll certainly take Obey The Moon from you - excellent cache. I'll wait till the tides are a bit lower before replacing. Quote

Good choice there Rodz, had i been staying in London i would definately have offered to adopt this cache, IMHO, one of the better caches for those who like a little more extreme terrain PS. Sorry to see you go too Jurgen, your caches have been fun. We'll have a drink for you at the "GCYA6C - A break with tradition" event cache for you. Hope everything goes well for you, Bon voyage.
