+Outward Bound
I am lucky to be travelling overseas in a few days (to Europe, from New Zealand), and am likely to try a few caches if I can get thru the langauge barrier - thats another issue! My question is, if I download pocket quieries using my normal GC account, do I have to change GPS datum when I get to Germany? If so, what datum do I use? Any advice appreciated. Nope, same old boring WGS84 datum. Just allow a few minutes for the first-time satellite lock then off you go! You may or may not get a WAAS signal, but that doesn't matter too much. Many of the caches in Germany have an English translation. Some cache owners will be able to help with translation problems: then there's Google translation which will normally give you a fair idea.
