+CJPJ
Here is the first (hopefully in a series) of coins that I plan on releasing - The Sylvan Seekers coin. TRACKABLE!! I plan on having them 1.75" in diameter - limited run to keep costs low. All original art with character background printed on rear of coin. I'll update the thread as I get more info for the quote. Please let me know what you all think! This is our first! Coin Back Coin Front Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
oh yeah - all will have serial numbers for the limited run, all original art and characters. YAY! And ALL trackable @ Geocaching.com!! Quote Link to comment
+MommyFinder
Love the story, not too fond of the cartoon character. Make the fairy a little more "real" looking (ya know, like Tinkerbell, or something), and I'm in. Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
Sorry - the cartoony character stays. That's what she looks like - dont want to invoke the wrath of the faefolk if I go changing things. Quote Link to comment

Make the fairy a little more "real" looking (ya know, like Tinkerbell, or something), and I'm in. Agree. The fairy is too cute. Needs to look more like a fairy - not a videogame character. +UOTrackers
As a fae fanatic of anytype I love it! I think your Trickle is adorable. It's not much like the Amy Brown fairies but it doesn't have to be. My daughter is my little fae and she doesn't look like the Amy Brown faries either! I'll have to find some way to get one, my half of our coins is gone Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
The entire series is going to be done in a cartoon feel - that's the way these characters were designed. Our kids love em, and all helped with the creation of them. Quote Link to comment

Aushiker
G'day I like it and think you should go with what you want to do. Subject to cost landed in Aussie I would be interested in three coins. Also own icon? Thanks Andrew Edited August 30, 2006 by Aushiker Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
I'm going to get the price with and without the icon. I need to keep the cost down and I know this is pretty costly. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
gridlox
We'd definately be interested in gettting them as well. So, mark us down for them when you do make them. I agree with keeping them the way they are. Stay true to your art!! D-man Quote Link to comment

+Treasure Hunting Family
Are these going to be for trade or for sale or what? I would love to buy one or two. Unfortunately don't have anything to trade since we just starting collecting coins. Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
I'm going to be posting these for sale. I just sent the artwork into the mint and they are going over some of the issues they may face w/ the textured background. As soon as I get a revised quote I'll be giving the full details. This is our first coin so I'm going to take preorders first then order. I've got a question - the woman who sits next to me at work just was in a horrible accident and may not be able to walk again. Thought crossed my mind to raise the cost of the coins after shipping and all to 25-50 cents above cost and donate the proceeds to her since she'll be out of work for lord knows how long. She's a single mom of two - has anyone done this before for fundraisers? Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
Did I hit a taboo subject or something? I mentioned the idea for a fund raiser and the thread goes silent...? Quote Link to comment
+chrisgun
Please put me down for 2 coins.... and I'd donate an extra quarter to help out your coworker Quote Link to comment
+Kealia
Did I hit a taboo subject or something? I mentioned the idea for a fund raiser and the thread goes silent...? It's not taboo, but there have been a LOT of charity issues and fund raisers in here lately. Maybe people are getting a bit burned out - they can only support so many (good) causes. or maybe it's just because it's the holiday w/e. Give it some time for a response. Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
Well that's cool & I understand. I just wondered if anyone does do fundraiser coins ever. Thanks! Quote Link to comment

gridlox
WOW! They turned out AWESOME! I was really concerned with the large amount of text on the back, as to whether it would be readable or not, but the mint really came through!! I agree with whitebear, I prefer the antique as well. +CJPJ
I too am partial to the antique. I think I may do a VERY limited run in gold, majority to be in antique and copper..... yet to be decided. Quote Link to comment
keewee01
These are amazing!! Great job CJPJ!! Depending on the price, we'd probably take at least 3 or 4. Certainly a copper and a gold... probably a couple of silver too... minimum. Are you going to release as a set? Edited October 24, 2006 by keewee01 Quote Link to comment
