+dunezilla
Is there any way to change your default download from LOC to GPX files on the Hide and Seek a cache page? I just signed up for the membership last week, got my conf code this morning, now I would like to switch it so that I always download GPX files. Is this only possible through the Pocket Query function? Thanks! Link to comment
+Stunod
<snip> I would like to switch it so that I always download GPX files. Is this only possible through the Pocket Query function? GPX is only available via the PQ (delivered to your email) or individually on each cache page. Link to comment
+Bzzliteyr
That's a bummer, I also could have used that when I was in Newfoundland two weeks ago and all of a sudden wanted to cache. I went to "hide and seek a cache", typed in the coords from my location, then I wanted to pull the results down and upload to my GPS.. only LOC was available. From what I could see, LOC files had less data than GPX. The only way for me to get an "immediate" GPX would be to create a brand new pocket query and wait for it to download, right? (I could be going about that all wrong, if so, please tell me!) Link to comment

You can either schedule a Pocket Query that will contain the caches you want, or if the number is small, you can go to each cache page and save the GPX file for each one individually. Link to comment

+Hynr
Open up the PQ page (a.k.a. "Pocket Query Toolbox") where you indicated what you want to have sent to you. At the bottom, three lines above the "Submit Information" button is a line that reads: In the format; that's were you currently have LOC selected; change that to GPX and you should get gpx files sent to you. +The Leprechauns
You are probably getting .LOC files in your e-mailed pocket query file because you checked the .LOC option in the file type box. Go to the page to edit your pocket query, and make sure that you've selected "GPX" as the file type. For a quickie GPX file download, the fastest way is to find the cache page nearest to where you want to start a day of geocaching. Open up the Geocaching Google Map from the cache page and zoom out a bit, to show 20 caches. Create a bookmark list and toss the caches you're interested in onto that bookmark list. Continue panning around and adding caches to the bookmark list. When finished, run a PQ for that bookmark list. Link to comment
