+wandering4cache Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 (edited) I think they are diecuts. I'm certain the word "geocaching" is a die cut....meaning cut by die from thick cardstock. I've gotten other titles from them & that's what they were. The logo I'm guessing is the same. Usually they are like paper piecings. All the pieces are cut out of the correct color cardstock, & you just use a bit of your favorite adhesive to stick together. If you have questions, they respond to email fast. In years past, I've bought geocaching patches from the Groundspeak store & used that on my scrapbook page. Here's a link to a 6 page layout I made way back in 2002 when we started caching. Back then, you had to make just about everything for your page. Not much in stores then. LOL And YES, I know the compass points are backwards. I noticed it later...and that's the way the clipart came offline. LOL http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumIndex...30855534&f= Edited August 18, 2006 by wandering4cache Quote

Sorry, I guess I would need to be a scaper to understand... Are they like a stencil that you can use over and over? Ahh, nevermind... some things in life should ALWAYS be a mystery... Quote
Fliper Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 This is PERFECT for my sister. She is a scrapbook nerd. Thanks! Quote
+Mommy2Tyler Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Oh how fun! I love those. I hope other companies take the hint and come out with things too. Quote
+Team Wiggy Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Oh, thank you, thank you! Hopefully they'll add even more items in the future; I'll save them to my favorites list - and... I love your pages! Especially the ones with the great journaling and cute li'l "x-marks-the-spot" embellishments. Thanks for sharing! Beth Quote
+CraigInCT Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 (edited) She is a scrapbook nerd. Oh - I want to be one too. What do I have to do? What is this "scrapbook," you speak of? Edited August 18, 2006 by CraigInCT Quote
+emb021 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 She is a scrapbook nerd. What is this "scrapbook," you speak of? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrapbook This will explain scrapbooking. Its big amoung many people. There are stories out there that cater to scrapbooking, and a log of groups are making available scrapbooking materials with their logos and the like. Also check out art supply stores like Michael's, or even the craft area of Wal-Mart etc. Quote
+sbell111 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I wonder if they are going to get a letter from Groundspeak's attorney? Quote
+wandering4cache Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 I wonder if they are going to get a letter from Groundspeak's attorney? I would hope/assume she went thru all the necessary contacting. She also sells Disney stuff & Disney is the WORSE out there about using their name / icon / logo without permission. As for those looking for more geocaching stuff, she takes suggestions!!!! I'm SURE thats how those got there in the first place. Quote

+DocDiTTo Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 I wonder if they are going to get a letter from Groundspeak's attorney? Was wondering myself if they obtained the proper permission to use the logo. Quote
Fliper Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 My sister has like way to much time on her hand. She has 2 huge book shelves full of stuff for scrapbooking stuff. I'm going to get a bunch of logo's and i'm going to make a bunch for her and her boyfriend. Quote
Dino Hunters Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I wonder if they are going to get a letter from Groundspeak's attorney? Yup they did ... Quote

+parker313 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I wonder if they are going to get a letter from Groundspeak's attorney? Yup they did ... Ahhh.... So that would explain why, when I went there, there was just the map paper and the die cut title... Hmmm... Maybe I'll make a set and offer it for free. I think that would be OK with Groundspeak.... ::runs off to check licensing rules:: Quote
+parker313 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Well, before I bother... My set would be for digital scrapbooking. Is there any interest in a geocaching digi-scrapbooking set? Quote
+Team Snoopy Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 So there was something else at the store besides the paper and the title? I've printed my own geocaching stuff on my computer to use on my scrapbook pages. I can make lots of fun stuff. Don't have any of the pages scanned to show though. I'd be up to see what digi kit you come up with. Quote
+wandering4cache Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Well, before I bother... My set would be for digital scrapbooking. Is there any interest in a geocaching digi-scrapbooking set? I would be interested in any digi-scrapbooking stuff anyone comes up with or finds!!!! Digital is actually how I got into paper scrapping way back in 1999. I was doing digital for years before digital was in. lol Too bad it didn't catch on faster. Think of all the $ I could have saved. Oh...and too bad the geocaching logo diecut is gone from the scrapyourtrip.com website. Quote
+parker313 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 OK, I'll work on some stuff and see what I can come up with --Kristin Quote
+hb'sbear04 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Okay, I'm VERY new to the scrapbooking thing... what is digi-scrapping? Do you do the pages and save them on the computer, as opposed to putting them in a scrapbook? I'd love to find some geocaching scrapping stuff... goodness knows we have TONS of geocaching pictures to use to make pages. :-) Quote
+Aces-Wild Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I am very big into scrapbooking my geocaching journeys. I would love any suggestions about paper, designs, ideas, topics, etc. Very hard to find exactly the right paper or embellishments. I have found some help by looking under "outdoors" on some websites. Quote
