MouseFart
I just got my second Legend C in the mail today. Both will be used for geocaching. I have entered about 40 coordinates into the first one and was wandering if there is anyway that I can send those coordinates to the new one somehow without having to hand enter those coords again? I know uploads can be done through the premium membership as I understand it but I am not a member. Thanks. Edited August 14, 2006 by MouseFart Quote Link to comment
Glenn W
If they are in your first GPSr as waypoints, try transfering them to mapsource on your PC. Then upload the waypoints from the PC to the second GPSr. GW Quote Link to comment

Actually you can still do waypoint uploads, though it is a little more involved and you don't get as much info. But it beats the heck out of hand entering. Quote Link to comment

If you haven't bought any maps and don't have MapSource, the Legend C should have come with Trip and Waypoint Manager and a pc interface cable, which will do the same thing. Quote Link to comment

+Fhantazm
What he said. EasyGPS works great for transferring loc files. If you want more detail try GSAK and use the gpx files. EasyGPS.......... robertlipe
From the department of "stupid GPSBabel tricks", I'll offer that GPSBabel actually supports > 1 unit. gpsbabel -i garmin -f usb:-1 will return a list telling you (by serial number) which is usb:0 and which is usb:1 You can then copy waypoints from unit 1 to unit 0 with: gpsbabel -i garmin -f usb:1 -o garmin -f usb:0 Quote Link to comment
