+widebmw
On my motorcycle trips I like to keep my screen zoomed in to see which way the road turns ahead of me. It zooms in when I am in cities and towns for turns but after the turns in town it zooms way out. In order to get it back to where I want it I have to push the "in" button about 10 times to get the view I want. Is there a setting I can use to have it return to the view I want. The GPS is a Garmin 76csx. Quote Link to comment
yeeoldcacher
You can find the autozoom function in the unit by pressing menu 2 times and then selecting setup and map. Then choose the N(for north) icon. You will see the Autozoom option that you can turn on or off, turn it off to keep the unit from changing the zoom scale. Quote Link to comment
+thefiveofus
fyi, what it's trying to do when auto zoom is on is to keep the next leg displayed..so if the next leg is long (many miles), then it will zoom way out..if it's not long, it won't zoom out as far... but, if you do turn it off, then the zoom should remain fixed as you set it. +widebmw
Thanks, I have set the auto zoom to "off". I will test it this afternoon. John Quote Link to comment
