Timfy
Set a new cache today at 11:00. Submitted the listing at around 12:15. Checked back a wee bit later and not only was it listed, but Sharpset had already claimed it as a FTF. This was at 14:15!! Is this a record or have you had an even faster find. PS Great work Lactodorum... do you never leave your PC Quote Link to comment
+The Golem
I think I did it with one of Scaw's - it was listed about 7pm and I'd found it by about 7.45 Quote Link to comment
+MarcoXono
My fastest (I think) was a multi, 6 miles away: Published 10:57, found 11:40 Quote Link to comment

Just lucky to spot the listing and live just 2 miles away! (Plus you have to be quick to beat Subarite and Dogastus in these parts...)! Pete Quote Link to comment
+The Bolas Heathens
35 mins from publishing to FTF for us is our best so far. I even had time to sync my Palm with the details . Quote Link to comment
+Gordy n Steph
24 minutes but it was just down the road this cache Quote Link to comment

I'm never going to get a FTF with you lot around I suppose I may as well get used to being the Tim Henman of caching... always nearly but never quite making it! Quote Link to comment
+steviep
This was my quickest FTF Quote Link to comment
+Jango & Boba Fett
Our (or really my as Boba was tucked up in bed fast asleep) was GCVMY5 which is 11.6km from home. Was just meant to be poping around the corner to get some milk but seemed like a good excuse to pop just that little bit further. Quote Link to comment
+stora
Just done one tonight 24 mins from publishing to FTF. then came home and bagged a 2nd FTF in about 40 mins Edited August 6, 2006 by stora Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
I have one that I found and logged 29 minutes from the publish time. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...a9-309f7217e4b2 I think it was about 12 minutes from publish to find. Quote Link to comment
+Moote
Emmmmm, these FTF do appear to place people in situations that could cause danger to them and others. Looks like one or 2 people exceed the speed limits of the UK! One reason i'm never going to be an FTF bagger. Quote Link to comment

+maxkim
Several of Harrogate Hunters FTF cache finds must rank.... If you live in the Harrogate area you have to be there within 2 hours unless he's away at the time. Quote Link to comment

What I really want to know and I probably speak for the silent ones on this forum is : Who appointed Moote as the health and safety representative of the activity of geocaching or did he take it upon himself to trawl the caches placed, FTF activity and probably anything generally stightly ambitious relating to this hobby and find his soapbox and moan???? STEPS BACK AND LIGHTS THE BLUE TOUCHPAPER !!! (OR FAILING THAT CATCHES ALL TEDDIES CHUCKED OUT OF PRAMS!!) Quote Link to comment

May be! but what is the speed limit for running to the local park You really shouldn't run. What happen if you trip and fall? It is also very dangerous. Perhaps you should wear a crash helmet, elbow pads and knee pads. You could also carry a first aid kit you never know when you will need it. I also always carry spare clean knickers just in case. +Maple Leaf
My only FTF (so far) was so fast, that the cache owner was still on site checking co-ordinates! Even though he had submitted it the day before, he didn't realise it had been published - so was shocked when we turned up. It was also the first cache he had set - so he was pleased that we were succesful in finding it. Quote Link to comment
