Mollyjf
We found this sign and tryed to enter it into the benchmark section but It wont let us put in our postal code. Are the benchmarks people are looking for and finding only in the USA?? We live in Canada and here is a picture of what we found.... sorry it is a bit out of focus, we didn't know that till we got home and it is a ways away from us. Thanks for your help, btw we are new at this. LOL i also can't figure out how to put the picture in here to show you so if anyone could just answer my question, is there some way of recording on geocaching.com benchmarks outside of the USA? 2 & 1/2 peas in a pod Quote Link to comment
+Kewaneh & Shark
The benchmarks that are in the GC.com database are from the (United States) National Geodetic Survey (NGS). As such, there aren't many NGS marks in Canada, but there is a large system of Canadian Geodetic Stations & Marks. While you can't log new benchmarks onto the GC.com website (U.S., Canadian, or other), you can log them on Waymarking.com on the Canadian Benchmark waymark catagory. Here are a few other threads on the subject that might help: Are There Benchmarks In Canada? Canadian Benchmark Hunting, Benchmark hunting in Canada You'll find links to even more threads within these. Hope they help! - Kewaneh Quote Link to comment
