Firefox Geocaching Scripts

Help.

 

Downloaded the latest version of Firefox yesterday and all my Geocaching user scripts have disappeared!! Can anyone remember where I would have got them from?

 

.......I've now found them here. But they won't load. Anyone got any ideas??

Yep, until today they all worked a treat. Particularly the 'ignore posting' one on the forums!

Here's a link to the current geocachingforumtools.user.js - right click and choose "Install User Script" - works for me in Firefox 1.5.0.5 and Greasemonkey 0.6.4 or 0.6.5

I get an error message each time I try to install it.

 

I also tried to install the others from Locusprime and got the same message.......

 

I've got Firefox 1.5.0.5 and Greasemonkey 0.6.5

Have you tried checking for updates on the extensions window?

 

I'm running latest version of FF and getting no issues at all

It sounds like your config.xml file is missing or corrupt.

cd to gm_scripts

If a file named config.xml exists there, say so here.

 

If it doesn't, well, I'm not sure where it would have gone, but run:

echo "">config.xml to make it exist. Greasemonkey should then work, although you'll have to reinstall the scripts.

I've got FireFox 1.5.0.6

Greasemonkey is installed

I'm successfully using GC True Totals v1.3

Have Geocaching Forum Tools installed . . .

 

and can't figure out how to use it! I don't see anything new popping up at the top or bottom of pages; nothing with right click. Do I have to copy the forum message URL, open Greasemonkey to 'Manage User Scripts', highlight Geocaching Forum Tools and Paste in the URL? There must be an easier way!?

Hmmm.... Right click on the monkey at the bottom right of the browser window and check that "Geocaching Forum Tools" is checked.

Thanks for the reply. 'Geocaching Forum Tools' is enabled. Have shut down and restarted FireFox. Updated Greasemonkey to 0.6.5.20060727. Shut down and restarted again. I've tried reading forums in 'View New Posts' mode and by going straight to a forum to read a thread.

 

Do not have links next to the user name.

Topic threads open in the same window.

Not sure about the 'Posted' icons or 'Go To Post' icons, but suspect they're not there either

Errr..... I 'm not sure what you mean! This script allows you to highlight and ignore topics, not what you are expecting.

That may be part of why I'm confused. I THOUGHT that was what the script did. I haven't seen any indications of how to ignore topics. Here's the homepage I got the script I'm talking about from . . .

If there is another link I should be looking at, please point me at it. I would really like that ability to ignore certain topics. Heck, I wouldn't mind the ability to ignore an entire group (i.e. geocoins) that I'm not interested in when I'm looking at 'View New Topics'.
