The Royles
Whe I set up the waterfalls category, I naturally chose waterfalls as the simple URL. Therefore http://www.Waymarking.com/cat/waterfalls would get you to the waterfalls category. Then, about 2 weeks ago the above URL started to point to the man made waterfalls category. I mailed GS, requesting a correction, to be told that I'm sorry, but that has already been changed so you will need to let me know what the new one is you wish to go with. Now it may seem petty, but I cannot think of a better URL for the waterfalls category, and really don't see why I should. Obviously some glitch in the software allowed another group to register "waterfalls" as the simple URL, but I why can't it be put back to what it was and the other group requested to pick a different URL ? +Black Dog Trackers
From what I can read here, it seems that GS should be writing to the manmade waterfalls group telling them that they would have to pick the new one. First come first served, right? Where and how did this go wrong? Link to comment
The Royles
Mailed GS about getting waterfalls back, and was told Waterfalls has been taken due to restructuring and I apologize for any confusion. This cannot be changed back. Please let me know what simple URL would you like to use going forward? Still no nearer comprehension Link to comment
+Jake39
Odd When I checked on - Niagara Falls Ontario CA - it showed up under the right "URL" -- still ??? When searching categories for - "Waterfalls" - your URL comes up correctly too, with "WOW" 20 members too. "Waterfalls" - Webpage Link to comment
+Black Dog Trackers
Jake39 - The waterfalls "Simplified URL" referenced in the OP still points to the wrong category. Link to comment
The Royles
All sorted now, so closing the thread Link to comment
