+chizu
Hi all, Today we logged a cache which was supposed to have a travel bug. In the hand written log in the cache we see that the bug was taken yesterday and replaced with a geocoin. We picked up the geocoin. However, the coin hasn't been logged as being dropped in the cache yet (it looks like it has been left by a visitor to the UK). How should we log this? Thanks, Chizu Quote Link to comment
+TheRoundings
Perhaps you should wait a few days or so - the cacher might be travlling home and only be able to log it then. Did you note the cacher's name in the cache log? - if so you could find the user on GC.com and email them. Quote Link to comment

Thanks, Chizu I always think it worthwhile logging with a Note type log that you have the coin in safe keeping and will delay your formal log until the placer is able to complete their log. You can then either change the Note to a Retrieve or leave the note as well as you desire. You hopefully should be able to identify the placer as it should be registered as being in their custody, though sometimes logging gets completely addled justifies the use of the Note log. Sometimes cachers just will not complete logs even after several email nudges so after a reasonable delay time the only way is to grab it and move it on Colin Quote Link to comment
