+vortexecho
I don't have names for any of the three GPS receivers I own. What I *really* want a name for is that calm, monotone female voice from Garmin NRoute that speaks the turn-by-turn directions. "In five hundred feet, turn left." Whatever you say, dear. Anything beats "no! turn around you #*@!, you missed the park entrance! I meant your OTHER left!" I call her my nava-ho on my garmin i2 Quote Link to comment

The 2 Dogs
I have two brands of GPSr and I take them with me all the time. One's "Garmy" short for Garmin and the other's Gupus. it's a Magellan. Hey! be nice........GPS's have feelings too you know. Quote Link to comment
+AKStafford
The blue Garmin E-Trex Legend is Garmie, the big Mag-Lite I use is Big Maggie, and the little Mag-Lite is Lil' Maggie. So batteries are referred as Garmie food, and sometimes Lil' Maggie goes hungry so that Garmie can eat. I'm called the idiot that wanders around trying to find stuff. Quote Link to comment
+nscaler
I've called my iQue 3600 "Troy" while vehicle navigating. I didn't like the "american" voice and loaded the "british" voice. Then "it" sounded like a certain spaceship's counelor. Funniest when she says " take the romp right", which should be ramp. Edited August 3, 2006 by nscaler Quote Link to comment
