+Sensei TSKC
Hi guys. Will be coming over to Van Island on Sunday 30th July for 2 weeks and then Vancouver for a week. Can anyone recommend any caches that I should do? Will be in NANAIMO and Port Coquitlam. Will have the use of a car. Son and Daughter cache but wife doesn't so it will probably be early morning sprints. I have decided that the first cache I do in Canada will also be my 600th. Lester UK Quote Link to comment
where the wild things are
A couple great caches in Nanaimo are in the Colliery Dam park. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...df-b54cfbc2605b and http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...8c-dcde647314f8 You can nab both of them in about an hour. Another great place to go is The Morrell Nature Sanctuary. There are extensive trails in the park and quite a few caches. Heres one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...81-852280e9a125 Both of these parks are very close to each other and are on Nanaimo Lakes Road. Another nice park in Nanaimo with a quick cache: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...27-d616742298fe Hope this helps. Have a great time on the Island! Quote Link to comment
+911turbos
There are lots of great caches in Port Coquitlam. One series, I would highly recommend, is the Diagon Alley series along the Coquitlam River. Each cache container and hide is very creative. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...mp;submit4=Find Quote Link to comment
+shearzone
While we're at it, can anyone recommend any caches in the Goldstream PP area? I'll be there over the August long weekend. I'm looking for two types of caches, some that will lead me on a good hike and maybe a scenic view, and some that will be fun for two kids of 8 and 10 years old who I have diagnosed to have ADD that I'll likely have to entertain for a few hours. +Sensei TSKC
okay, I'm here and hitting the odd cache here and there when I can slip away from the family. The tricky one - but found easily - was Hence the Name. Problem is I still don't understand why it's called what it is! The second favourite is Ten Birds. Certainly sheds a different slant on a 0.25mi walk. Will try to get out and cache for a whole morning soon (Whole day if I'm lucky.) Wife can't stand caching./ She must be ill. Thanks for the info.
