Let's Talk.......pdas

I've been geocaching for a little over a year now...not too religiously, but enough that when I travel, I take a quick look at what caches are in the zipcode I'm going to.

It looks like the hot setup is to download all the specific cache info to a PDA and use the PDA in conjunction with your GPS.

There's a lot of good and bad to every PDA I've researched. Anyone have a "most bang for the buck" story related to their PDA.

BTW, I just "upgraded" from a Garmin 76CS to a 60CSx and LOVE IT, now I want to get the most out of it by throwing some cash into a reliable and functional PDA.

I've been paperless caching for about two years now, and this Paperless Caching article got me going. It's inexpensive, easy to use, and is an elegant solution. I found a Palm IIIxe 8MB on ebay for $35, and never looked back. All I need is this setup and my Map 60Cx.

OMG, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Timpat, this should help legions of geocachers move off of the paper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A thousand thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I splurged and got a palm Tungsten E2 - $174 - color screen - and threw in a 512 mg SD card. Now I have Stephen King's new book to listen to, some of my favorite photos, and some rocking tunes.

Oh, I need to use it for caching too...hehe...I'll re-print the "Paperless Caching" article and give it a go.

PDAs are extremely cool!
