+palmetto Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 (edited) I'd guess there's a difference between the baud rate indicated on Easy GPS and the baud rate you have set on the Magellan. On the GPS unit hit menu>setup>baud rate. You'll find a range from 1200 baud (slowest) 4800, 9600, 19200, and 115200 (fastest). On Easy GPS under File, preferences, GPS, settings, baud rate - make sure they match, same baud rate on the program as on the GPS. Also any damage to the cable will kill the connection. This happens to me too often, either from cats, or from letting it rest on the floor and then snagging it on something. Edited July 13, 2006 by palmetto Quote Link to comment
