+Chooch72 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 As a cache owner, is there a way for me to tell what cachers are watching my cache??? If there is a way, how do I do it? Can I tell on my Travel Bugs also??? Thanx in advance - Quote
bogleman Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 no . Don't think of it as anything other than someones tool they use. I watch caches that I've not found, caches that I hate, caches that I enjoy. There are things than can be done to measure the activity of your listing but other than that don't worry about who is watching your cache. Quote

Not really worried - just was curious if it was a possibility I'm the same way - I have caches I watch for TB activity or if I've left something and want to see who grabs it.... Thanx for the fast reply. Quote
+PastorDIC Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 It depends on how they do it. If it is on the Watchlist, unfortunately No. If they Bookmark it AND CHOSE TO MAKE THE BOOKMARK PUBLICLY VISIBLE TO OTHERS, then you can see it on your cache page. Quote
+hiikaash Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 Look through the logs and see if they posted maintenance or other cache related logs Quote
+Markwell Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 There's a thread at the top of the Getting Started forum called Read First! Geocaching Frequently Asked Questions, which includes a post entitled Who's Watching My Cache. Quote
+Airmapper Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 I once used an idea Markwell had, and posted random, stupid, messages as notes to my cache and then waited. 1 out of three watchers responded, and were almost convinced I had gone insane. I think one of them dropped my listing off their watchlist as well. Quote
+Bill & Tammy Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 You could always make the cache a "Premium Member's Only" cache and then view the online log as to who has viewed the cache page. I've done that to a couple of mine and it has almost been as fun to observe as online logs. Quote
+Tsmola Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 The audit logs is really helpful on Premium caches. I had no idea that many people were viewing cache pages until I put out this cache: The Ghosts of Frost I saw names of people I'd never ever heard of viewing the page. I was really surprised when I saw how many people were watching it. I have no idea why there are so many watching this, some of my puzzles have only 3 or 4 people watching them. My only guess is the area where I put this easy little traditional decon is much more well-known than I originally thought. Quote
