wasfrogger Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 One idea I thought of as a TB mission was to get a postcard from each state capital attached to the TB until it had all 50 at which point I would connect with whoever had it to get it back to me? Do you think this would work out or would someone just take it? Quote
+Team Neos Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 It's worth a try. Can you afford to gamble the price of one travelbug? Yes, someone might just take it, and then you won't get it. However... If you don't put it out there to try it , you still won't get it. Quote
+BlueDeuce Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Hmmmm, might get a bit bulky around number forty, and the first ones might start showing a little wear. Plus people have to purchase a postcard for you. How about if people take a picture of the bug at the state capital building (or just the building or both) and post the photo on the bug page? Quote
+miss_butterfly Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 how would the cards be attached/collected to the TB tag? in a bag? on ring? btw it sounds like a cool idea Quote
+Henki Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 It sounds like a cool idea, but I can see some problems on the horizon. As mentioned above, it would get rather bulky and cards would get rather worn. How would the cards be attached to the bug in such a way as to not get torn off during the travel process? Once the bug starts accumulating cards, people would have to flip through to see if you already have their state's card. This would, of course, lead to more wear and tear on the cards. Also people might just attach a card without going through the trouble of checking to see if their state's already attached. In that case, you could conceivably collect more than 50 cards, leading to more bulk, etc. A big bulky bug might not fit in many caches. Quote
