+Team Rampant Lion
Anyone up for a group BIKE to do "Ay Caramba!!" by mountain bike this Saturday if the weather holds up? It is a good ride with some challenging, rocky spots. Overall, some good single track and fire trails all bike approved. The forecast so far is nice and cool (74 degrees) but with a chance for thunderstorms. Any takers? Quote Link to comment
+macatac1961
Isn't that near where the mountain lions were spotted? I think we'll be changing your nickname soon. Quote Link to comment
+Packanack
Have been riding the Paulinskill and Sussex last couple of weeks, would love to give it a try, but no can do for next couple of weeks due to conflicts. Bike caching is a blast, have done a number on Cape Cod that way. Lot of fun. Quote Link to comment

+Packanack
Don't hold for me, I probably won't be clear until sometime until late July. I have it on my list of to dos. Quote Link to comment

Well I haven't had any takers and the weather looks pretty crappy for Friday/Saturday. Delaying until late July would work for me and allow a bit more time to recruit other riders. +Straatmaker 5
I'm not sure if I can do this in late July. But I can do this any time from July 1st to the 3rd. Quote Link to comment

You might just be better off saying what day you are going to take a run at it and what time and place you will be leaving from. Edited October 6, 2006 by Packanack Quote Link to comment

You might just be better off saying what day you are going to take a run at it and what time and place you will be leaving from. Do people prefer Saturdays or Sundays for this type of thing? I am up to my eyeballs in soccer games on Saturdays but could do PM. Sundays are usually better. PS - If someone wants to go but doesn't have a bike, I may have an extra or two. Quote Link to comment
+Straatmaker 5
I would like to, but I don't have a free weekend until after Nov. 5th. If you are willing to wait, Saturday or Sunday are open for me. Quote Link to comment

Three Simple Words
Kev, this bike ride event you’re planning on sounds like a blast!!!! How many miles are you thinking about riding/caching for the day???? Also do you have a set pace the group will be riding at??? Edit: {Note, In Allamuchy NJ, Deer Park, Has some caches and trails for MTB's.. It also has some real easy single track, and some nice fire trails for the people who are still lacking skills.... +Packanack
Bikes are always on sale at this time of the year. Peritto. Jamis Durango go for it. I would love to think that I could ride and cache Ay Carumba, but alas I fear that with the nearing of another turn of the annual clock, I have inescapably joined the ranks of the , dare I say it, THE ADVANCED MIDDLE AGED, who shall forever hence be denied the pleasures of their youth, you know biking, hiking, paddling, walking, two Dunkin Donuts jelly variety at one sitting. And shall preface every statement with, When I was young... Oh, and BTW it is supposed to rain on Sunday. Quote Link to comment
+Quoddy
It seems strange to see a bike trek scheduled in my old stomping grounds... when I've recently signed up for a snowshoeing ridge cache hike just 9 miles from my new house. Quote Link to comment

+Packanack
Roll Call - who is going to join us Sunday morning at 9:00 AM? I have gone from fairly certain to somewhat doubtful , with son's announcement that he wants me to drive him and his buddies to Jim Thorpe Pa, so they can splatter each other with paint. +briansnat
Does anybody have the coordinates of the second stage so the first one can be replaced if missing? It was deleted from my unit long, long ago. Quote Link to comment
+Packanack
I got them from Kane, TRL also has them . I am going up at some point in the weekend and going to point 1 and re searching the area and if I do not find the container again, I will replace and it will go on from there. Quote Link to comment

+Team Rampant Lion
Finally got this bad boy under my belt and enjoy all of it. Playing the role of anchor today for Straatmaker 5, was having some real trouble with my knees and leg cramps. But we still got it done start to finish in 3 hours. Only disappointment was we didn't see any bears today. Of course, I did get home in time to see my Chicago Bears beat the Jets. What a great day!! Quote Link to comment
